About Bluedot:
Ideal have worked with Bluedot Festival and its organisers now for 6 years. Bluedot is a music, science and culture event held annually in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. The festival is held at Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire England, a mecca for universe enthusiasts.
Bluedot has a unique combination of music, live science experiments, expert talks and immersive artworks, and it is owned by Manchester University.
The festival has grown in capacity year on year and in 2022 Ideal supplied a team of 60 staff to facilitate works on the event site.
What we did:
Our daily duties were but not limited too,
- Festival waste management and separation of waste on site.
- Festival litter picking
- Toilet an shower cleansing for the public
- Supply of soaps, towels and cleaning equipment
- Supply of all waste bins and skips for event waste
- Removal of all waste post event.
- Jetwashing of all public paths and roads within the event site post event.
Summary:
Ideal facilities management had been tasked to maintain all site cleansing & cleaning while on the festival. Working within this industry for the last 10 years we have gained a knowledge and understanding of what each event requires when it is live, how the public behave whilst on a festival and what is required post event.
As a result of our understanding of the Festival and our 24-7 operation the customers could enjoy their surroundings, the live acts and conferences that took place each day , the night live and the many stages and marquees hosting musicians.
Again ideal have completed another successful year supporting Bluedots prestigious event with our services and we hope to see the extended team again in 2023.
Bluedot 2022 had an amazing 50,000 people attend over the 4 live days in ran. We hope to increase that capacity slightly in 2023 when it will run again 20th – 23rd July.
